How to choose

If none of the four matches your mounting, interface or radio requirements, the platform can be reworked instead: see the OEM and ODM centre, or read the IP65 vs IP67 vs IP68 comparison and the warehouse rugged tablet rollout guide before you fix a specification.

Rugged tablet questions

Which Android version do your rugged tablets run?

Android 12 is standard across the rugged tablet range. The XH-500 can also ship with Android 13, and the 10-inch model can be built with Windows 11 instead of Android. The image is confirmed in writing before the order is placed, and it can be frozen or left updateable.

Should I choose IP65 or IP67?

IP65 keeps out dust and low-pressure water jets, which covers most indoor industrial and counter work. IP67 adds protection against temporary immersion, which matters for outdoor, washdown and vehicle-mounted use. The 8-inch tablet ships IP65 as standard with IP67 as an option, and the 10-inch tablet is IP67. Changing the enclosure re-tests ingress protection, so decide before tooling starts.

Can the tablets be customised?

Yes. Module set, memory tier, LTE bands, charger, boot logo, launcher and kiosk behaviour can all be changed on an existing platform. MOQ is 2 units, a sample takes about 3 days and mass production runs about 25 days. See the OEM and ODM centre for what each area covers.

Do the tablets ship with Google Mobile Services?

The 8-inch platform is GMS-ready and supports MDM and zero-touch enrolment. Where your deployment is kiosk-only or runs a single application, a plain AOSP image without GMS is also an option. Confirm which one your build needs before the image is frozen.
