Android 12, 4GB+64GB, 10,000 mAh and built-in NFC, with optional barcode, fingerprint, RFID and Ethernet modules.
Shenzhen Xinhong Smart Technology Co., Ltd. manufactures rugged handheld terminals, industrial tablets and biometric devices for system integrators, distributors and brand owners. An OEM programme reconfigures a platform that is already in production; an ODM programme designs the device your deployment needs and takes it through tooling into mass production. Assembly, burn-in, serialisation and inspection run against acceptance criteria agreed with you before the line starts.
This page is the centre for that work. The detail sits in five areas: hardware customization, software customization, industrial design, Android OS customization and certification support.
Most projects touch more than one of these. Each page sets out what can be changed on an existing platform, what moves the project onto the ODM route, and what has to be settled before the line starts.
Modules, interfaces, memory tiers, LTE bands and chargers — the 2D engine, fingerprint sensor, NFC, RFID and ID card reader fitted to your build, plus the internal USB, TTL serial, GPIO and SPI headers available to integrators.
Hardware options ↗API and SDK access for every module in the build, output formats confirmed before the order is placed, and your application pre-installed on the image instead of rolled out on site.
SDK and integration ↗Finishing changes that reuse existing tooling, structural changes that need partial tooling, and a new enclosure that needs full tooling — including what a housing change does to ingress protection.
Design and tooling ↗The Android version per platform, GMS or plain AOSP, boot logo, launcher and kiosk behaviour, pre-installed applications, and whether the image is frozen or updateable.
OS and image ↗What the standard build already carries, how conformity for your destination market is scoped before tooling, and what triggers re-testing once the enclosure, board or radio changes.
Compliance planning ↗The mainboard and tooling already exist and have been through production, so the engineering risk is low and the route to a sample is short. You choose what changes; everything else stays as validated.
When the standard mechanical or electrical design cannot meet the requirement — a different screen size, a housing built into a kiosk or vehicle dock, an extra interface, or a module we have not integrated before — the change is designed, tooled and taken through samples into production.
The stage-by-stage process is described on the Custom Solutions page — requirements and feasibility, written proposal, engineering sample, verification and certification, mass production, then delivery and support.
| Area | What is configurable |
|---|---|
| Data capture modules | Fingerprint sensor (FAP10 capacitive, FAP20 or FAP30 optical), second-generation ID card reader, NFC at 13.56 MHz, RFID at 13.56 MHz or LF 125K/134.2K, rear 2D scan engine from Newland, Honeywell N3680 or Zebra 4710 |
| Interfaces | Interface layout including RJ45 Ethernet, USB-A, USB Type-C, DC charging, TTL serial, GPIO and SPI headers for custom peripherals |
| Memory and storage | RAM and storage tier, SD/TF support, and the partition layout your firmware expects |
| Display | Display resolution and touch glass options on platforms that offer more than one tier |
| Android build | Android version, GMS or plain AOSP build, custom launcher, kiosk lock-down, pre-installed applications and API or SDK support for installed modules |
| Housing and appearance | Housing colour, silk-screen printing, device model name and the marking on the rating label |
| Branding and packaging | Boot logo, colour box, printed manual, accessory set, labels and serialisation; carton and pallet specifications to suit your logistics |
| Power and accessories | Charger plug types, power adapter input range, vehicle or desk mounting and dock accessories |
| Market adaptation | LTE band configuration and charger plugs matched to the destination market, and the certification scope your market requires |

Inspection runs from incoming materials to finished goods, so the build is checked before it reaches the end of the line rather than after packing. Each unit is serialised, which means a delivered device can be traced back to its production record — useful when a field issue has to be understood quickly rather than argued about.
| Item | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| MOQ | 2 units for a build that reuses existing tooling. Where a programme needs new tooling or a new mainboard, the figure for that programme is stated in your written quotation. |
| Samples | Built in about 3 days and reviewed against the acceptance criteria before mass production, so the module set, interfaces and firmware are verified on real hardware rather than on a drawing. |
| Lead time | About 25 days from sample approval to shipment. Where tooling or certification work is involved, you receive a written schedule covering samples, verification and mass production before the first sample is built. |
| Certification | The standard build carries GMS certification where the specification lists it, and the capacitive fingerprint module holds Ministry of Public Security certification where used. Requirements your destination market adds — conformity marks, radio approvals, documentation — are agreed before tooling so the test plan fits the schedule instead of extending it. |
| Documentation and SDK | API or SDK support is supplied for the modules installed in your build, together with the agreed specification sheet. Tell us at the start if your procurement process requires particular records, so they are included in the project scope. |
| Payment and shipping | Commercial terms, incoterms, carton and pallet specifications and shipping arrangements are agreed with the quotation. |
